    Job Title:  Electrical Designer

    Job Type: Full-Time

    Location:  Istanbul, Turkey

    Reports To:  Manager, Electrical Engineering

    Supervises: None

     

    General Summary:

    The Electrical Designer, with general supervision from the senior staff, will provide design for lighting, power and control systems for new construction and/or renovation of industrial, commercial, governmental and healthcare structures in conformance to client requirements and applicable codes. Must speak fluently in both Turkish and English.



    Essential Job Functions:

    • Possess / demonstrate the engineering knowledge and understanding to design or analyze electrical systems for the installation, interconnection, and control of architectural, electrical and mechanical components using applicable codes.
    • Prepare working drawings for construction using Revit. Provide Revit support to more senior staff.
    • Communicate and work with all other disciplines to produce coordinated construction documents.
    • Conduct field measuring and checking at project site.
    • Maintain organized project file containing project calculations, schedules, correspondence, appropriate reference materials, etc.
    • Review project submittals (shop drawings) for conformance with contract documents; specify action required for conformance.
    • Perform related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Employment Qualifications:

     

    Education:

    • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Construction Technology or related degree preferred

     

    Experience:

    • 5+ years of related and progressively more responsible experience in electrical engineering field.

     

    Skills/Competencies:

    • Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel and Word), Revit and ProjectWise.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication.
    • Must speak fluently in both Turkish and English.
    • Strong attention to detail.
