    Job Title:  Data Telecommunication Security (DTS) Design Engineer
    Job Type: Full-Time
    Location:  İstanbul, Turkey
    Reports To:  Manager Data Telecommunication Security Engineering

    With some supervision from Manager Data Telecommunication Security Engineering or senior staff, provide design or analysis for telecommunications, LAN, CCTV, access control, fire alarm, public address and wireless LAN for new construction and/or renovation of industrial or commercial structures in conformance to client requirements and applicable codes. Provide the engineering to develop the construction documents for the installation, telecommunication and security networks.

    Primary Responsibilities
    • Possess / demonstrate the engineering knowledge and understanding to design or analyze data, telecommunication, security systems, audio visual systems, fire alarm and public address for the design and installation of data, telecommunications and security systems/networks using applicable BICSI and ANSI/TIA/EIA guidelines.
    • Knowledge of all aspects of BICSI guidelines and NFPA -72 and EN-54 as they apply to the design.
    • Review and/or establish project scope, budget, design approach, and applicable constraints with the Project Manager or client as appropriate.
    • Able to perform acoustic calculations with the use of necessary software.
    • Design audio visual systems, cctv cameras and wi-fi coverages with the use of necessary software.
    • Able to adhere to project quality, budget, and schedule.
    • Prepare feasibility studies and schematic design packages of telecommunications, fire alarm and security systems, etc.
    • Produce construction documents per company standards.
    • Communicate and work with all other disciplines to produce coordinated construction documents.
    • Conduct field measuring and checking at the construction site.
    • Maintain organized project file containing project calculations, correspondence, appropriate reference materials, etc.
    • With assistance, edit project specifications.
    • Review project submittals (shop drawings) for conformance with contract documents; specify action required for conformance.
    • Prepare project reports&materials and cost estimates.
    • Perform related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Required Education and Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related degree in engineering or information technology; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • RCDD certification is an asset.
    • Minimum of 5 years related and progressively more experience in the data, telecommunication, fire alarm and security engineering field. (related design experience with sufficient Revit knowledge is required) 
       
    Additional Skills
    • Microsoft Office emphasis on Excel and MS Word, CAD applications, including Autodesk (Revit and AutoCAD) and / or Bentley Micro station; Acoustic Calculators EASE, Wi-Fi Design Ekahau.
